At Black Diamond Dals our puppies are bred to be healthy, have wonderful temperaments and be excellent representatives of the breed. All of our puppies have their dewclaws removed, have been wormed, are BAER hearing tested, microchiped, AKC Registered and have their first shots. Each puppy has been seen by a veterinarian at least once before he or she departs to their new home.

Pet quality female puppies are $800.00 ($1,000.00 paid up front, $200.00 refunded once proof of spaying has been provided) and males are $500.00 ($700.00 paid up front, $200.00 refunded once proof of neuter has been provided). There is nothing wrong or inferior about these pups; they simply would not in our opinion, be competitive in the conformation dog show ring. They are typically attractive Dalmatians that can compete in performance events (obedience, tracking, agility, road-trail, fly-ball, etc.) and can still be shown in the 4-H and Jr. Handler rings. These dogs are sold with a limited AKC registration, which means they cannot be used for breeding.

Show potential puppies are $1,200.00 and are sold with a full AKC registration and may be bred once they have received their AKC Champion title, are at least two years old and have passed their health checks (OFA Hips, CERF & Cardiac).

Many puppies are spoke for before they are born, therefore we accept deposits. The $100 deposit goes towards the purchase price of the puppy and determines your priority in selecting your puppy. With your deposit you state your preferences: color (black or liver), male or female, pet quality or show potential. You will then pick your puppy in the order of our receipt of your deposit when the litter is 8 weeks old. No puppies will be allowed to go to their new homes prior to their 8 week birthday. If we do not have a puppy that meets your wish list we will refund your deposit or you may move it to a future litter. Your deposit is a symbol of your commitment to us and vice versa. Refunds will not be made if you change your mind or purchase a puppy elsewhere.

We are not opposed to shipping puppies on direct, non-stop flights. The buyer is responsible for finding a flight from PDX airport to their location, as well as all expenses associated with shipping the puppy and depending on the airline may include: actual flight expense (typically determined by the weight of puppy & crate as well as the size of the crate), airline approved crate, health certificate (most airlines require a health certificate within 10 days of their flight), fuel and time compensation to help cover the 7hr round trip to the airport to get the puppy on the flight. In general, the entire cost to ship a puppy within the US is $400 - $1,500.00 depending on the many variables.

We feed our puppies Blue Buffalo Chicken and Brown Rice Puppy Food and our adults Blue Buffalo Chicken and Rice Adult Food. Both of these are wheat free, corn free and by-product free. Our second preference is a food we have researched but have not fed our own dogs, Flint River dog food appears to be an excellent choice for homes that can afford it.
